On the heels of this post, The Importance of Patience in Apologetics, by Slim Jim, I want to add this:
“Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.” ~ Phil. 4:5
~ It takes strength to be gentle. In fact, it takes more strength to be gentle than to be rough, coarse, and arrogant.
Jim commented on Proverbs 25:15,
“Through patience a ruler may be persuaded,
And a gentle tongue breaks bone.“
~ So what this verse tells us is that gentleness is strength.
And yet it takes strength to be gentle.
Gentleness is actually a superpower.
