(41) Disengagement as a Form of Faith

In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.
~ Psm 4:8

It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep.
~ Psalm 127:2

Disengagement is a form of faith. Sleep is a form of disengagement. Sometimes it takes faith to sleep well. Sleep is a way of letting go of the world that we live in.

Another way to disengage from some pressing issue is to prayerfully take your mind off that issue and put it on another issue. Prayer is essential, because this can be difficult.
