Indeed, turn anywhere you want in the Bible, especially the Poetic and Wisdom literature (Psalms, Proverbs, Job, etc.) and you will find that wisdom is associated with action.
For example,
“… when hands are idle, the house leaks” (Eccles. 10:18b).
“As a door turns on its hinges, so a sluggard turns on his bed” (Prov. 26:14).
Or … Here is 5-talent guy from the Parable of the Talents:
“He who had received the five talents went at once and traded with them, and he made five talents more” (Matt. 25:16).
Yes. In the Bible, wisdom is associated with action. That is the expectation.
~ It is not associated with the couch, the sofa, or the bed. Nor is it associated with the hammock in the backyard, the blanket on the beach, the remote, the gaming console, etc. This is not to say that these things are bad, but if they are a 24×7 thing, well then. One more for the road:
“The name of the man was Nabal, and the name of his wife was Abigail. Now the woman was wise and beautiful, but the man was … Abigail made haste” (1 Sam. 3:18).
Abigail acted quickly is how the NIV puts it. Wisdom is associated with action.
Let’s add one more:
See, I have taught you decrees and laws as the Lord my God commanded me, so that you may follow them in the land you are entering to take possession of it. Observe them carefully, for this will show your wisdom and understanding to the nations, who will hear about all these decrees and say, “Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.” What other nation is so great as to have their gods near them the way the Lord our God is near us whenever we pray to him? ~ (Deut. 4:5-7).
