(30) Getting to the God’s Will . . .

Then they took Jonah and threw him overboard, and the raging sea grew calm … Now the LORD provided a huge fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights. ~ Jonah 1:15, 17

~ If something is God’s will, then that will come about in one way or other. Either smoothly or with a bump in between. Isaac was God’s will. Ninevah was God’s will. Rome was God’s will. But . . .

~ Isaac was possible without Ishmael.

~ Nineveh was possible without the big fish.

~ Rome was possible without a shipwreck in Malta.

“In their hearts, humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.” ~ Prov 16:9
