“ . . . let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith” (Heb. 12:1-2).

You’ve got to travel light. Every once in a while, life becomes busy and my mind becomes busy. All sorts of to-do’s buzz around my head. Too much is going on. It is as if there is some kind of weight that I am carrying around in my head.

At these times, I am reminded, that I need to travel light.

So I start getting rid of things. So I start saying no.
