~ In Greek mythology, there is a story about a king named Sisyphus who is cursed to roll a huge boulder up a hill, and no sooner than he gets it up there, than does it roll its way back down.
Commit your works to the Lord, and your plans will be established (Proverbs 16:3).
Commit your future to the Lord. Trust in him, and he will act on your behalf (Prov. 37:5).
In both verses, the word for “commit” is the word, gol (גֹּל), which comes from the root word, galal (גָּלַל). The idea here is that we ought to roll our works, our burdens, yea, our entire future on to the Lord.
So roll your works on to the Lord. Don’t be a Sisyphus.
“Yeah. But in my case it keeps coming back down. My anxiety, worries, aches, keep coming back to me.”
~~>Keep rolling and they will come back down smaller each time.
