(15) Prayer Completes Wisdom

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.

~ Prov. 3:5-6

Got wisdom?

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
. . .  lean not on your own understanding.

Got prayer?

~ The assumption of verse 5 is that your understanding is not enough. The assumption is that you do not have all the pieces. Your understanding is somehow incomplete or even quite possibly a misunderstanding. You do not know all the whys of the whats in your life.

So, what do you do?

In all your ways acknowledge Him, …

You pray. You make a decision, acknowledge God and move forward. Leave the rest to him. The acknowledgment is prayer.

~ Where wisdom is lacking, prayer can be prevailing. Prayer can make up for a lack of wisdom. When wisdom runs short, prayer walks forward. Prayer does not just supplement wisdom, it completes it.

*Side Note: To “acknowledge Him” is not just a head-nod. Ask, seek, knock. Pursue God in prayer.
