(8) Consider the Lilies

“Therefore, I say to you, do not worry …  Consider the lilies … do not worry about tomorrow” Matt. 6:25…28…34

“Consider the lilies…” ~Luke.12:27

~ There are commands that feel like they are commands and commands that simply do not feel like commands.

“Consider the lilies” in Luke 12:27 is a command. Who knew that? Not me for sure. It does not feel like one.

And it is a great one. It is the Lord Jesus telling to get out and take a whiff of what is blowing in the air. Stop worrying, get out and consider the lilies.

And while you are out there, throw in some azaleas also, breathe in some roses, behold the orchids, get lost among the tulips, take a whiff of jasmine, pluck a few poppies and hang out with the daisies. God is good!

“The only Commandment I ever obeyed — ‘Consider the Lilies.”
